Myanmar (Burma) Crisis

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, working with mission partners such as ACT and CWS, is preparing to offer aid to cyclone-ravaged Myanmar (Burma) when the local government there permits entry. Plans are also underway to assist Burmese citizens who cross borders into neighboring countries in search of assistance. Updated information and a donation card are available at the link, above.

Habitat for Humanity Project Announced

Youth and Young Adults are invited again this year to participate in a local build. The week-long event is set for July; churches are invited to participate by helping to provide lunch for the workers. Please see the Habitat page (link above) for details and contact information.

Women of Faith Choose Ann Hayman

The Rev. Ann Hayman, Director of Development for the Mary Magdelene Project that she founded in 1980, has been named a recipient of the 2008 Women of Faith Awards by the General Assembly Council of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). She is one of only three to be honored this year. Awards will be presented at the Women of Faith Breakfast at General Assembly in June.
